Introduction

In the mountains, the meadows grassland, the most beautiful landscape, with Himalayan peaks emerging from the meadows. The wildflowers on the rolling folding ground and the misty valleys on one side and the great mountain range on the other. It is heaven for trekkers and is also a good trekking option for beginners. Some paths are too steep but not on all the trek. The dayara bugyal trek is splendid with folks.

And you would be thankful to whoever made you get on this trek. The trek will take you to the evergreen forests where sunlight could not find a way to reach the ground and then nature unveils the lush green ground on top of the mountain with mesmerizing views of Gangotri peaks, Kala nag, Srikanth peak, and Bandar Poonch. This place is truly for wanderlusts who want to explore the beauty of nature. It has the most spectacular meadows in Uttarakhand. The view from the top is breathtaking and gives you immense happiness. This trek can dumbfound anyone with splendid views.

HEIGHT AND DIFFICULTY

Dayara trek is more than 11,000ft above sea level. It is a medium trek which is not too difficult or too easy as it takes 4-5 hours to reach the top. The trekking distance is about 29 km.

HOW TO REACH

Raithal is the village from where the trek starts. Raithal is 185 km from Dehradun and some midpoints are breathtaking you can see all of the Uttarakhand peaks from there including Nanda Devi peak. The nearest railway station is in Haridwar. It will take 4 to 5 days to explore the dayara bugyal trek and nearby places.

BEST TIME TO VISIT

This place has so much to give you in summers as well as in winters. In the winter you can witness unexpected snowfall. It gets the heaviest snowfall among any other treks of Uttarakhand. The meadows fall into hibernation under the thick layer of snow. Winters have their vibe at dayara bugyal trek. People now often like winters in mountains more than summers.

Whereas in April when the snow melts and clears the ground the lush green grassland will conquer your heart. And at the end of May flowers will come out to give you all the blessings till late June. You will find this place even more beautiful, nothing less than that, with a splendid mountain range and you just need a bigger screen to capture all of it. It will give you a cherished moment.

BEST TREK TO DO IN INDIA

It is one of the best treks to do in India which gives you the best view after the craziest hike. The vastness of green meadows which you can’t find where it ends. And the Bandar Poonch peak which is standing in front of you likes a guardian angel. As you hike continuously from one hill to another the picture will get even nicer and nicer and the rolling down of hills going in the valley and the peaks on the other side will fascinate you. The lake is the cherry on top of the dayara bugyal trek. You will be just not stunned but more than that. The dense forest with its biodiversity is thrilling, you will find birds chirping, and it is something you will be amazed by until you see the meadows on top. The exotic surroundings will make you think not to go back.

CAMPSITES

There are major campsites at different locations. Whether it is GUI, chilapada, nayata, or even Barnala every place is good for camping. The trekkers love to do camping in dayara bugyal trek. It is situated at a height so it is hard to find anything to eat. You should prepare for yourself. The meal gets prepared once the camp is set. Locals of the nearby village can cook for the trekkers. Barsu is the last village before the trek starts and is also considered the base camp. 5 km from barsu is the barnala tal where camps are usually set.
